Favorite regioonnn!!!.....*drum roll please...*

Hey all! Or as they say on mars "[zzWEASRUWKE$ha039U0Q2.**#$)@8688777"

Alright now lets just talk about my favorite region of study and that iss....*drums failingly on keyboard*

....THIS ONE!!!YAY!

That's right people, it took me half a school year of waiting, but we've finally reached the region I've been waiting for! This might sound a little weird, but I love pretty much anything from asian cultures! I absolutely LOVE manga and anime (*dork*) am taking Chinese, have had a foreign exchange student from Taiwan, and Memoirs of a Geisha and Slumdog millionaire are pretty much the best movies EVER. Just saying. I love learning about Asian cultures more than anything. I've always liked Japans beautiful artwork, China's great literature/amazingly fun language, and India's fascinating culture. I've always just felt really drawn to it ever since I was a little girl, and one of these days, I want to go to one of those places, just to experience the completely different way of life. Anywhere, really. Heck, I'd just be happy to go to Chinatown :D

But anwyay, enough dorky rants...On to the serious nerdage. Are you ready for this? Because I'm about to talk about band yet again...But I've been pretty much insane with the practicing recently. Drumline tryouts are coming up, and I'm both really excited, and really nervous for them to come. I want a bass spot really bad, but I honestly don't think that It'll happen. But either way, I've been working hard for it- practicing two or more hours a day, working out (it takes some MUSCLE to carry a drum) and making healthy choices so I'm not a limp spaghetti noodle for tryouts :D Haha, anway. Enjoy the awesome clip of the marching band and perform to oooo and ahh!!!

FREE TOPIC!!!! :D

Hello all *insert usual greeting here* now, I think you all should know, that when "free topic" comes up as a blog topic, I JUMP for joy! So I'm pumped and ready to go! I can talk about anything any everything. Today, the only thing I have that's been going on in my life is...Well, band. I know. How lame am I? :D But come on. Have you ever played "day-o" on the steel drums in an ensemble? Well it's pretty much completely and totally freaking awesome. Not to mention, for the first time ever, I got to strap a bass drum TO my actual body. Instead of just watching the drum with a desperate look on my face and drool on my chin from a distance. No, actually playing it is must better.

Speaking of band, there's this really awesome video you should check out! Just a group of people rocking out and having fun-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJKythlXAIY

I haven't really done anything with my life since my last topic, though. My life has calmed down quite a bit, actually, and hey, that's cool with me. I prefer a low-drama environment whenever possible. And all that extra time has led to a lot of time on the soul-sucking website called FACEBOOK. It's going to be the death of me someday. I swear.

Peace out girl scouts!
:D
